STRATEGY + IDEAS

I’m at my best when I have room to ask, “What if we tried this?” I enjoy identifying opportunities, digging into what’s working, and turning ideas into thoughtful, actionable plans. Whether I’m developing a new initiative, analyzing performance, shaping a brand voice, or pitching a creative concept, I bring together curiosity, strategy, and a strong understanding of audience to figure out what could come next.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH INITIATIVE

Strategic Proposal + Community Engagement | JCC Chicago

I developed this proposal around a simple idea: meaningful community engagement requires showing up. Rather than relying solely on audiences to come to us, I saw an opportunity for JCC Chicago to build greater visibility and stronger relationships by creating a consistent presence at community events throughout Chicagoland.

I researched potential events and developed a framework for participation that included cross-department collaboration, staffing, promotional materials, budget considerations, and a reusable outreach toolkit. The goal was to create an approach to community engagement that felt proactive and relational—not simply promotional.

SOCIAL MEDIA PERFORMANCE + ANALYTICS

Analytics + Content Strategy | JCC Chicago

I believe analytics are most useful when they help answer a bigger question: What is our audience telling us?

I developed this social media analysis to look beyond individual post performance and identify larger patterns in JCC Chicago’s content. Using reporting and tagging through Sprout Social, I examined content volume, network performance, engagement, and top-performing posts to better understand which stories and formats were connecting with our audiences.

The analysis helped turn performance data into strategic questions and opportunities for future content—using what audiences responded to as a guide for what we could test, strengthen, and build on next.

VOICE + WRITING WITH PURPOSE

Brand Voice + Audience Strategy | JCC Chicago

I created this five-minute presentation for a marketing team retreat to explore something I think about constantly as a writer: good marketing isn’t just about what we say—it’s about how we say it, who we’re talking to, and how we want them to feel.

I developed the presentation around brand voice, tone, audience, and purposeful writing, including how the same message can—and should—change depending on who needs to hear it. My goal was to make brand voice feel less like an abstract marketing concept and more like a practical tool our team could use in everyday communication.

FIND YOUR VOICE: EXPRESSIONS OF THE SKIN

Creative Concept + Exhibition Development | Niles-Maine District Library

When the Library’s Summer Reading theme was Find Your Voice, I started thinking about all the ways people express who they are without actually speaking. That led me somewhere a little unexpected: tattoos.

I developed the concept for an exhibition exploring tattoos as art, identity, memory, and self-expression. The proposed exhibit would pair tattoo artists’ original sketches with photographs of the finished work on the body, highlighting everything from memorial pieces and song lyrics to abstract art. I also envisioned an opening-night panel where participating artists could talk about their work and creative process.

The concept was designed to take an existing organizational theme and interpret it in a way that felt surprising, personal, and relevant to the community.

SELF-CARE IS SELF-PRESERVATION

Creative Concept + Exhibition Development | Niles-Maine District Library

For Black History Month, I developed an exhibition centered on the national theme of Black Health and Wellness, expanding the idea of wellness beyond physical health to include the mind, soul, creativity, and self-expression.

I created Self-Care is Self-Preservation as a way to explore art itself as an act of care, particularly during a period shaped by the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on Black communities and ongoing protests surrounding racism and police brutality. The exhibition brought together work from seven Black artists whose pieces reflected different experiences, environments, traditions, and expressions of Black culture.

I developed the exhibition concept, identified and recruited participating artists from within and beyond the Library community, and curated a collection designed to make the Franklin Gallery a space for reflection, expression, and conversation.
